KIEV, December 6 (RIA Novosti) - Blood samples taken from Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko are being studied by experts in Belgium, Britain, and Germany, the former Soviet republic's investigators said Tuesday.

Yushchenko took a blood test November 9 as part of an inquiry into his alleged poisoning. The blood samples have been sent to foreign clinics since Ukraine does not have the necessary equipment, the press service of the inquiry commission said.

The names of the laboratories will be withheld in the interests of the ongoing investigation, the press service said.

"The conclusions of the foreign experts will be followed by the forensic bureau of the Ukrainian Health Ministry," the press service said.

Yushchenko's health problems began in early September 2004 during his presidential campaign. He had dinner with Ukrainian Security Service senior officials at a country house belonging to the former deputy head of the service, Vladimir Satsuk, on September 5, 2004. After the dinner, Yushchenko fell ill and was taken to the Rudolfinerhaus clinic in Vienna. The head doctor at the clinic attributed his condition to "high concentrations of dioxin, most likely orally administered."
