* A delegation of the Russian government headed by Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov will head to Brussels to meet with members of the European Commission.

* The Economic Development and Trade Ministry will host the first all-Russia conference of consumer market participants (December 6-7).

* Russian Regional Development Minister Vladimir Yakovlev will hold a session on the strategy of the socio-economic development of the Omsk Region (12:00 p.m.).

* The Russian Audit Chamber will host:

- the ninth conference of the association of Russia's audit bodies (10:00 a.m.). Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin, Health and Social Development Minister Mikhail Zurabov and Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov will attend;

- an extended session of the chamber's board (3:00 p.m.)

* The Federation Council (parliament's upper house) will host:

- parliamentary hearings on Russia's energy strategy (11:00 a.m.);

- a roundtable on the monetary-credit policy in 2006 (3:00 p.m.);

- a meeting between Federation Council Speaker Sergei Mironov and Ukrainian Supreme Rada Speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn (5:00 p.m.).

* The State Duma will host:

- a session of the lower chamber's council (10:00 a.m.);

- a roundtable on legislative aspects of the effective development of the diamond and jewelry industry during Russia's accession to the WTO (10:00 a.m.);

- a roundtable on legislative aspects of the activities of natural monopolies in the communications services industry (2:00 p.m.).

* An international economic forum, Russia and India: a Strategic Partnership in the 21st Century, will be held (10:00 a.m.). Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Zhukov, a co-chairman of the Russian-Indian intergovernmental commission for trade and economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation, Indian Ambassador to Russia Kanwal Sibal and heads of major Russian companies will attend.

* RIA Novosti will host:

- a roundtable on the United Nations Development Program's Central Asia Human Development Report-2005 with Deputy Director of the UNDP Regional Bureau for Europe and the CIS Marta Ruedas, Secretary General of the Eurasian Economic Community Grigory Rapota, etc. (11:00 a.m.);

- a news conference on the results of a public opinion poll conducted in Ukraine before the parliamentary elections (1:00 p.m.);

- a news conference on the state support for young scientists (1:30 p.m.);

* Interfax will host a news conference on the results of the presidential elections in Kazakhstan (1:00 p.m.).

* A plenary session of the Russian Council of Judges will open (December 6-10).

* The Presidium of the General Council of the United Russia Party will hold a session (4:30 p.m.).

* The Russian State Service Academy will host an innovation policy forum with European and Russian experts (9:30 a.m.).

* The Moscow City Court will begin preliminary closed hearings of Paul Klebnikov's murder case.

BAIKONUR

* The Proton-M carrier rocket with a Briz-M booster and a U.S. AMC-23 (Worldsat-3) communications satellite will be launched from the Baikonur Space Center.

SUKHUMI

* The UN mission in Sukhumi will host the first meeting of the organizing committee of the European Commission's program in the Georgian-Abkhaz conflict zone. UN Secretary General's Special Representative to Georgia Heidi Tagliavini, Georgian State Minister for Separatist Conflicts Georgy Khaindrava, representatives of Abkhazia, Georgia, the European Commission, the UN Development Program, etc. will attend.

TASHKENT

* The first international conference, Central Asian Energy Market: Trends and Prospects, will open (December 6-7). International experts and heads of major energy companies from Russia, China, India, Iran, Pakistan and the Commonwealth of Independent States will attend.

LJUBLJANA

* Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will continue participating in the session of foreign ministers of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.

LONDON

* The 12th annual Adam Smith Forum on Russian Banking: Maximizing Profitability and Minimizing Risks, will open (December 6-8).

HANOI

* A St. Petersburg delegation, headed by Governor Valentina Matviyenko, will arrive in Vietnam on a five-day business visit.

LANGKAWI, MALAYSIA

* The LIMA-2005 Asia-Pacific Air Show will open. More than 600 companies from more than 30 countries, including Russia, will take part in the show, which is held biannually.
