MOSCOW, November 29 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian Natural Resources Ministry has insisted on forming a federal agency for environmental protection, Deputy Minister Valentin Stepankov said Tuesday.
He said the ministry had already drafted the corresponding government resolution.
"The documents have been coordinated and submitted to the administrative reform committee of the Russian government with the relevant amendments," Stepankov said.
According to him, the new agency would oversee Russian nature preserves and national parks, conduct environmental inspections, etc.
