MOSCOW, November 16 (RIA Novosti) - Russia and the United States have agreed that the Syrian authorities must cooperate with the international commission investigating the assassination in February 2005 of former Lebanese Premier Rafik Hariri, the Russian foreign minister said Wednesday.
"In this issue we agreed on the necessity for the Syrian authorities to fully cooperate with the Mehlis commission and to solve all technical issues involved in implementing the UN Security Council's decisions through a direct dialogue with it [the organization]," Sergei Lavrov said after meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice in Busan, South Korea, where they discussed Syria.
