KIEV, November 15 (RIA Novosti) - Members of the Communist faction are blocking access to the podium in the Supreme Rada, the Ukrainian parliament, in an attempt to interrupt a vote on laws that are necessary for Ukraine's accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO).
Despite Communist protests, the parliament has adopted two of the eight draft laws that had previously not been supported by parliamentarians.
Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko earlier instructed the government to complete negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the WTO in 2005 and sent a letter to the parliament Monday asking the deputies to review the draft laws again.
