RIGA, November 9 (RIA Novosti, Yury Guralnik) - Latvian Transport Minister Ainars Slesers invited Russian investors Wednesday to take part in the privatization of Ventspils Nafta, a Latvian company servicing oil transit from Russia.

During a meeting with his Russian counterpart Igor Levitin, Slesers discussed the planned sale of the 38.6% government stake in the company registered on the Riga Stock Exchange, and asked him to make Russian investors aware of the sale.

Ventspils Nafta comprises LatRosTrans, Ventabunkers, and Ventspils Naftas Terminals, an oil-loading terminal. Until recently, the company serviced crude shipments from Russia via the Polotsk-Ventspils oil pipeline, until Russia switched to using the Primorsk port.
