KIEV, November 6 (RIA Novosti, Taras Burnos) - Ukrainian CIS mission observers who were denied entry into Azerbaijan Sunday to monitor the parliamentary elections have blamed activists from the Ukrainian democracy watchdog PORA, also turned away earlier. The mission members were on the same flight to Baku as the two PORA activists.
"This morning, two PORA activists, Sergei Taran and Evheniy Zolotorev, and 14 other Ukrainian students were not allowed into Azerbaijan and were deported right from the airport on the first plane to Ukraine," the organization's Press Secretary Maryana Pochtar said.
PORA played an active role in last year's Orange Revolution in Ukraine.
