MOSCOW, October 28 (RIA Novosti) - Net profits of Russia's major diamond producer, ALROSA, grew by 11% to $146.27 million in the third quarter against $131.74 million in the second quarter, a company news release said Friday.
The growth in net profits was occasioned by an increase in profits from involvement in other organizations, higher extraordinary profits and lower extraordinary expenses, the news release said.
