MOSCOW, October 28 (RIA Novosti) - Russia and the Vatican are set to develop bilateral relations, the Russian Foreign Ministry said Friday.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his Vatican counterpart, Giovanni Lajolo, discussed the fight against extremism and religious intolerance, peaceful conflict resolution and the consolidation of universal international cooperation mechanisms, the ministry said.
They also focused on UN reform, the situation in the Middle East and the Balkans, and bilateral cultural and educational contacts.
