MOSCOW/NOVOSIBIRSK, October 25 (RIA Novosti) - The Moscow attorneys for former Yukos chief executive Mikhail Khodorkovsky met with their client Tuesday to discuss issues concerning the supervisory appeal.

Albert Mkrtychev refused to give any details of the meeting but did say his client felt well.

"He is taking all the difficulties courageously," said Mkrtychev, who added that it was not the only visit of Moscow lawyers to the Chita region, where the penal colony of Khodorkovsky is located.

Natalia Terekhova, who is representing Khodorkovksy in Chita, said this was her client's only meeting with his Moscow lawyers.

Khodorkovsky was transferred October 15 to the standard penitentiary near the city of Krasnokamensk, not far from the Chinese border, where he will serve his eight-year sentence. Earlier reports suggested that the billionaire could work in the penal colony's woodworking and sewing workshops and be paid for his work, but it is thought that he is unlikely to join other convicts working at the nearby Priargun uranium plant.

Meanwhile, Khodorkovsky's wife, Inna, was permitted a three-day stay with her husband, Khodorkovsky's site said.
