MOSCOW, October 20 (RIA Novosti) - The Khanty-Mansiisk autonomous district in West Siberia is set to produce 268-270 million metric tons of oil, or some 60% of Russia's output, the district's governor said Thursday.

Alexander Filipenko said the district would account for 7.2%-7.3% of the world's oil output.

In 2004, the district produced 255 million metric tons of oil, or 57% of the country's output.

Oil majors Surgutneftegaz, Yuganskneftegaz, TNK-BP, LUKoil and Slavneft all operate in the district.
