TBILISI, October 20 (RIA Novosti) - The Georgian presidential press secretary said Thursday that National Security Council Secretary Gela Bezhuashvili, 38, had been appointed foreign minister.
"The president has signed a resolution on his appointment," Gela Charkviani said.
Bezhuashvili has previously held the offices of Georgian ambassador to Ukraine, deputy defense minister, and defense minister.
He attended a U.S. military college in 2000-2002.
