GROZNY, October 18 (RIA Novosti) - A total of 104 police officers and 113 militants have been killed in Chechnya since the beginning of 2005, the republic's interior minister said Tuesday.
Ruslan Alkhanov said that 230 officers had also been wounded.
There were 16 warlords among the dead militants, including four so-called wahhabite "emirs," the minister said.
He also said the police had arrested 247 militants, and destroyed 11 militant bases and 119 arms caches.
