NOVO-OGARYOVO, October 15 (RIA Novosti) - President Vladimir Putin said Saturday Russia had many common interests with the United States and Central Asia. "We share many common interests with the U.S. and Central Asian countries, including in counter-terrorism and the Afghan settlement," Putin said greeting U.S. State Secretary Condoleezza Rice in his residence.
"I want to congratulate you on the results of the trip to Central Asia," he said. "I know that this trip was very successful."
The president added that he was satisfied with the Russian-U.S. permanent dialogue.
