Russia bans poultry meat, egg imports from Romania in wake of bird flu

MOSCOW, October 13 (RIA Novosti) - In the wake of a bird flu outbreak in Romania, Russia banned imports of poultry meat and eggs from the country as of October 11, the Agriculture Ministry said in a statement Thursday.

The ministry also banned imports of foods and nutritional additives for birds, as well equipment that was used for keeping and killing them.
