MOSCOW, October 13 (RIA Novosti) - As of 4 p.m. local time (12 p.m. GMT), three hospitals in the North Caucasus city of Nalchik said they had received 88 people wounded in a militant attack on the city.

"Twenty-three people, including seven civilians, two militants and policemen, were taken to our hospital," said Marina Yemuzova, the deputy head physician of Nalchik's hospital No. 1.

She said four people had undergone surgery and others were under constant medical supervision.

"There is no threat to their lives," Yemuzova said.

She said one of the wounded militants had fallen into a coma and the other was in critical condition.

A spokesman for hospital No. 2 said seven people wounded in the attack had been taken there but gave no further details.

The Republican hospital said they had received 58 victims.
