Lyudmila Putin attends international research conference in Kazakhstan

ASTANA, October 9 (RIA Novosti) - Lyudmila Putin, the wife of Russian President Vladimir Putin, attended an international research conference in the Kazakh capital Astana Sunday.

The conference at Astana Eurasian University focused on the dialogue of Slavonic-Turk cultures. Mrs. Putin was made honored professor of the university.

Eurasian University trains some 9,000 students from many countries, including Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Turkmenistan, China, Mongolia, Yemen, Lebanon and Turkey.

A branch of Russia's oldest and largestMoscow State University was opened at Eurasian University in 2001.
