MOSCOW, October 7 (RIA Novosti) - The pilot of a Russian fighter that crashed in Lithuania on September 15, arrived in Moscow from Kaliningrad Friday after being held in Vilnius.
Russian authorities say the plane had crashed due to navigation equipment failure.
Pilot Valery Troyanov was under house arrest at a Vilnius hotel until October 6, when the Lithuanian prosecutors ruled that he had not violated the Baltic country's airspace deliberately.
