MOSCOW, October 7 (RIA Novosti) - The net profit of AFK Sistema in H1 reached $227.7 million according to US GAAP, or 33% more on the same period last year, the corporation said in a statement Friday.
AFK earnings in H1 grew 38% on the same period in 2004 to reach $3.35 billion.
The company said the share of the telecommunications segment in the company's earnings reduced to 79.9% from 86.9% in 2004.
OIBDA grew by 27% to reach $1.42 billion.
AFK Sistema is one of the largest diversified corporations in Russia, with stakes in companies working in the telecommunications, high technology, insurance, real estate, banking, retail and media sectors.
