YEREVAN, October 7 (RIA Novosti, Gamlet Matevosyan) - Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov said Friday that the program of cooperation between Moscow and the Armenian capital of Yerevan is one of the largest and most successful among similar programs with other Eurasian cities.

"We discussed the implementation of the program with Yerevan Mayor Ervand Zakaryan and concluded that it has been successful so far," Luzhkov said at the opening of the Days of Moscow's Culture in Yerevan. "We have been closely following its progress and we are planning to expand it."

Moscow and Yerevan signed a medium-term agreement in December 2004 on cooperation between 2005 and 2007, specifying the construction of a Moscow House in Yerevan and a Yerevan House in Moscow, as well as a range of bilateral investment projects.
