CHISINAU, September 16 (RIA Novosti, Vladimir Novosadyuk) - Archeologists in Moldova claim they have uncovered city dating back to a descendant of Genghis Khan.

Anatoly Gorodenko, a member of an expedition organized by the High Anthropological School of Chisinau, Moldova's capital, said the 450-hectare city had had a complicated infrastructure, including a drinking water pipe that ran through the entire city and can even be used today.

The expert said money had been minted in the city, as archeologists had found 250 coins stamped in the times of Tokhtomysh, a descendant of the legendary Genghis Khan. Pottery was also made in the city, and, according to Gorodenko, the quality of 14th ceramics was no worse than that of their modern counterparts.
