MOSCOW, September 15 (RIA Novosti) - UEFA Cup holders CSKA Moscow will miss several best players when they face Danish FC Midtjylland in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Cup in Moscow Thursday.
Valery Gazayev, CSKA's head coach, has lost forward Ivica Olic and halfback Yury Zhirkov due to their injuries as well as Yuris Laisans and Dmitry Kirichenko who have been transferred to other clubs.
On the brighter side for CSKA, Brazilian forward Vagner Love has returned to the team after his leg injury.
Although the lineup looks weak, CSKA has much bigger experience in European cups.
The game starts Thursday at the Dinamo Stadium in Moscow at 7.00 p.m. Moscow time (3.00 p.m. GMT). The return match will be held September 29 at the Herning Stadium, Denmark.
