MOSCOW, September 13 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's Interior Ministry issued a resolution outlining requirements for conditions in pre-trial detention centers.

Nikolai Pershutkin, head of the Interior Ministry's public order department, said Tuesday that the document was designed to improve suspects' conditions in pre-trial detention centers.

"This refers to internal rules, which envisage daily walks, relatives' visits, the wet cleaning of cells, bed-linen and dishware for inmates," Pershutkin said at a meeting on efforts to improve detention center conditions. "The document also sets out requirements for the medical care of inmates."

He said the document heeded human rights organizations' recommendations and had been agreed upon with all related bodies.
