MOSCOW, September 10 (RIA Novosti, Olga Lipich) - A series Islamic concerts involving international performers will take place in Russia in September, dedicated to victims of terrorism.
The event organizers announced that the first concert will take place in Moscow on September 10. From September 14 to 15, concerts will be held in Makhachkala, the capital of Dagestan (Russian republic in the North Caucasus). The final concert will take place in Saratov, on the Volga River.
The organizers said that the series of concerts, entitled "Allah Loves Beauty", is intended to show that Muslims are against violence and terrorisms. Performers at the concerts will remember the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks in New York, the Beslan school siege, and all other victims of terrorism. A portion of the proceeds will be given to the residents of Beslan, North Ossetia.
