BRUSSELS, September 9 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's Emergency Situations Ministry presented a report on its rescue aviation technology to the NATO Civil Aviation Planning Committee, a spokesman for the Russian mission to NATO said Friday.

The report, presented at the request of the commission, proposed creating an international air squadron, enlisted to conduct operations in emergency, including the extinguishing of forest fires, delivering rescue teams and relief supplies and evacuating disaster areas, the spokesman said.

Germany, France and Italy have supported the creation of a "European air squadron," he added.
