BRUSSELS, September 5 (RIA Novosti, Alexander Shishlo) - The European parliament opened its Monday session in Strasbourg with a minute of silence in honor of the victims of terrorism, natural disasters and air crashes that recently hit Europe and the rest of the world.

The parliament is scheduled to address anti-terrorist efforts, the situation in the Middle East and human rights in China during its three-day session.

Parliament members will also consider the 2006 budget parameters of the European Union, aviation safety and ways to invigorate the European textile industry.
