MOSCOW, September 4 (RIA Novosti) - Russian President Vladimir Putin and Kyrgyz president Kurmanbek Bakiyev, who arrives in Moscow on an official visit, will discuss mutual efforts in the sphere of the fight against terrorism and strengthening of bilateral cooperation in the military, energy and anti-organized crime spheres, a Kremlin official said Sunday.

During the visit on September 4-5, the presidents "will conduct a thorough discussion on the whole range of bilateral cooperation issues and on urgent regional and international problems," the official said.

According to the official, the participants will focus on the expansion of trade and economic ties that have been growing steadily in the past few years.

The sides plan to sign a joint declaration confirming their desire to continue strengthening their strategic partnership and developing mutually beneficial ties on the basis of sovereignty and equality.

The Kremlin source also said the participants would discuss the expansion of cooperation in the military and military-technical spheres.

"One of the main goals of the first foreign trip of Kurmanbek Bakiyev as president of Kyrgyzstan [his inauguration ceremony took place on August 14, 2005] is to strengthen and develop Russian-Kyrgyz cooperation based on the principles of strategic partnership," the official said.

He added that the sides plan to sign two intergovernmental agreements, on the settlement of the Kyrgyz credit debt to Russia and on the protection of intellectual property rights in the sphere of bilateral military-technical cooperation.
