KIEV, August 30 (RIA Novosti) - Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Timoshenko said Tuesday she intended to exceed the privatization plan by about $2.4 billion.
"I am not jumping ahead, but our figures are very optimistic - we will exceed our privatization plan by about 12 billion hryvnas ($2.4 billion)," she said at a session the local authorities council under the Ukrainian Parliament speaker.
Timoshenko said privatization was a unique source for forming the profitable part of the budget and she did not intend to shut it down.
"If there are no backstage conspiracies, and I will be on guard to prevent them, we will put land and property up for auction," she said.
However, she also said revenue from privatization should be a one-time occurrence.
