MOSCOW, August 30 (RIA Novosti) - Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Alexeyev and Japanese Ambassador to Russia Issei Nomura met in Moscow Tuesday to discuss preparations for President Vladimir Putin's upcoming official visit to Japan, a Foreign Ministry press release said.
The Russian leader will visit Japan on November 20, immediately following the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum in South Korea, presidential aide Sergei Prikhodko said.
Putin's most recent meeting with his Japanese counterpart, Junichiro Koizumi, took place on the sidelines of the G8 summit in Gleneagles, Scotland, on July 6-8.
