VLADIVOSTOK, August 27 (RIA Novosti, Anatoly Ilyukhov) - A detachment of Pacific Fleet ships is returning from the Chinese port of Qingdao in the Yellow Sea to its base in Vladivostok (Far East) after the Russian-Chinese military exercises Saturday.

The Pacific Fleet press center said the detachment comprised the Marshal Shaposhnikov ASW ship, the Burny destroyer, the BDK-11 amphibious ship and two auxiliary vessels.

The BDK-11 has onboard marines and cadets of the Makarov Pacific Naval Institute who also took part in the maneuvers.

The first stage of the Peace Mission 2005 war game was held August 18-19 in Vladivostok as military-political consultations between the Russian and Chinese Chiefs of General Staffs.

On August 23-25, a Russian detachment and a Chinese one put to sea from Qingdao. They performed perfectly despite bad weather.

A total of 10,000 servicemen from both countries took part in the war game. Russia was represented by 2,000 people, a Pacific Fleet detachment, 17 long-range aviation aircraft, fighters, military transport aircraft, and a Marine Corps company.
