MOSCOW, August 15 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian-Jordanian Business Council is set to meet this fall in Aqaba, a Red Sea Resort in Jordan, a Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman said Tuesday.

"Russia and Jordan have good prospects in terms of trade and economics," Mikhail Kamynin said while discussing Jordanian King Abdallah II's upcoming visit to Russia. "Jordan's efforts towards forming an attractive investment climate boost interest from Russian businessmen in investing in the Jordanian market."

He added that a delegation of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry headed by Yevgeny Primakov had visited Jordan's capital Amman in February 2005.

"The sides signed a protocol on cooperation between the countries' chambers of commerce and industry, and a document on forming the Russian-Jordanian Business Council, which is set to meet in Aqaba this fall," Kamynin said.

"The Russian government is considering implementing certain projects in Jordan," he added.
