BEIJING, August 12 (RIA Novosti, Alexei Yefimov) - The Russian and Chinese prime ministers intend to sign a medium-term economic and trade action plan effective up to 2010, Russian Trade and Economic Minister German Gref said Friday.

A Russian delegation headed by Gref took part in the 8th session of the subcommittee on trade and economic cooperation held in Beijing Friday. The subcommittee is part of a joint Russian-Chinese committee, which was formed to prepare regular meetings between heads of government.

"We have agreed to draft a medium-term economic and trade action plan for 2010 to be signed at a meeting between government leaders in fall this year," Gref said, adding that the session focused on coordinating so-called ''unorganized trade." The delegations have agreed to sign an agreement between countries' customs authorities on exchanging electronic data on cargo customs declarations, the minister said.

When asked to comment on the confiscation of large quantity of Chinese-made footwear in Moscow this year, Gref said that the future agreement would help to avoid or at least to minimize such instances.

The delegations have also agreed on the means of settling several bilateral trade problems, including chemical goods and agriculture produce, and have discussed means of improving bilateral trade, mainly by increasing the share of high-tech and engineering production.
