PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY, August 7 (RIA Novosti) - The seven-member crew of the Russian mini-submarine ripped to the Pacific seabed off the Kamchatka coast Thursday and brought back to the surface in an international rescue operation this morning have just been brought to this port, in Russia's Far East.
The submariners spent three days underwater, facing low temperatures and dwindling oxygen supply, but their current condition is reported as satisfactory. They are now on their way to a local hospital, where they will be given a thorough checkup.
