Moscow, July 24 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's synchronized swimming squad have won a gold medal at the World Aquatic Championships in Montreal.
Russia's Maria Gromova, Natalia Ishchenko, Elvira Khasyanova, Olga Kuzhela, Olga Larkina, Yelena Ovchinnikova Svetlana Romashina and Anna Shorina finished first in a free program event Sunday, increasing their overall team tally to 49.834 points.
Spain, with their 49.250 points, came second, followed by Japan, with 48.917.
