Makhachkala, July 24 (RIA Novosti) - A bomb exploded on a commuter train in the southern republic of Dagestan early Sunday morning, leaving one person dead and four others wounded. It also caused substantial damage to the rail tracks. According to police reports, the apparently homemade explosive device, planted under the locomotive, went off at 5:45 a.m. this morning. The blast was equivalent to 11 kilograms of TNT. A transport policeman is reportedly among those injured.
