MOSCOW, July 20 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian Foreign Ministry expects the fourth round of the six-party talks between North Korea, South Korea, Russia, the United States, China, and Japan on the nuclear problem of the Korean Peninsula, scheduled for July 26 in Beijing, to result in the adoption of a joint document. "We hope that the parties will make all possible efforts for the upcoming round of talks to be fruitful and end in the adoption of a joint document," Alexander Yakovenko, the official spokesman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, said.
Yakovenko said the adjusted "package" solution to the nuclear problem of the Korean Peninsula, which had been proposed by Russia, remained relevant.
"This solution overlaps with the proposals of other parties on many points and, if partly modified, could be used to develop joint agreements," the diplomat said.
