MOSCOW, July 1 (RIA Novosti) - An expedition will set out Friday at the zero mark near the Kremlin walls here and return to the same spot August 25 after circumnavigating the globe.

Adventurers from Moscow's Robinzoniada club are intending to walk, sail, fly and drive along the 56th northern latitude parallel, which also crosses this city, around the globe in 56 days.

The club applied to the Russian Records Book and the Guiness Book of World Records for three titles, the first round-the-world youth expedition, the first trip round the world along the 56th parallel of the northern latitude and the first round-the-world expedition using no less than 56 vehicles (the largest number).

Aleksei Shcherbakov, head of the club, will also lead the expedition. Editor of the Russian Records Book Aleksei Svistunov will join the expedition as an expert observer.

The crew will set off from the Kremlin on foot, then go to the bank of the Moskva River in horse-drawn carriages, change to a river water-bus and reach the metro and head towards the Yaroslavl Train Station. They will board a train to Yekaterinburg and continue their journey.

Expedition members will gather data on flora, fauna, geography and populations on the 56th parallel.
