MOSCOW, June 18 (RIA Novosti, Olesya Shchegolkova) - Moscow's application to host the 2012 Summer Olympic Games complies with all International Olympic Committee (IOC) regulations, Aleksander Polinsky, the executive director of the Moscow 2012 bidding committee, said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

According to him, he thoroughly studied five reports of the IOC evaluation commission, which were published on June 6 - one month before the election of the 2012-Olympics venue. Moscow's application complies with all IOC requirements, he said. One of the IOC requirements is the compactness of the place, where the Games will be held. Moscow proposes to hold the games within the city limits, Polinsky said. "Moscow has already built 23 sports facilities and it's more than in other candidate cities," he added.

Moreover, according to Polinsky, the IOC evaluation commission had no negative remarks in regard to Moscow's application concerning the security and transportation concept. The budget, proposed by the bidding committee, satisfied the IOC as well.

Polinsky expressed his opinion concerning the ratings of the other candidate cities, which are often highlighted by the media. According to him, "it is still early to say who is winning or who is losing in this race. Rating lists are purely a PR matter and the press in each candidate city tries to promote its own city, he said.

Polinsky also spoke about the presentation, which the bidding committee held on June 17 in Accra (Ghana). The presentation was attended by Moscow Vice Mayor Valery Shantsev, general manager of the bidding committee Alexander Chernov, deputy executive director of the bidding committee Dmitry Svatkovsky and PR director of the bidding committee Yulia Bordovskikh.

"Unfortunately, there were some difficulties with the presentation," Polinsky said. "Moscow representatives had no electronic backup during the presentation."

However, despite the technical problems the Russian presentation was followed by applause, he added.

"I am sure there were no wrong intentions on behalf of the organizers," Polinsky said.

"For now we have to be well prepared for the presentation in Singapore," he said.

The 2012-Olympics venue will be chosen on July 6 at the IOC session in Singapore.
