GROZNY, June 17 (RIA Novosti) - Special services prevented a number of sabotage and terrorist acts against civilians and federal forces in the North Caucasian Republic of Chechnya. Wanted Adam Asmayev, 27, a member of illegal militant units, was detained in the district center of Achkhoi-Martan, the FSB department for Chechnya said.
Assault-rifles, electric detonators, grenades, ammunition and communication means were seized from Asmayev's house.
The detainee said that the weapons and ammunition were used to perpetrate sabotage and terrorist acts against civilians and policemen.
Search for Asmayev's accomplices is underway.
