MOSCOW, June 13, (RIA Novosti) - President Vladimir Putin of the Russian Federation advocated concerted action to make Russia powerful and prosperous. Putin spoke briefly at a Red Square concert June 12, congratulating everyone on Russia Day. "I am absolutely sure that we can jointly realize its colossal potential, so that Russia would be a powerful and prosperous country," he said.
"We are always proud of our country. We are rightfully proud of its great history, its outstanding contribution to world culture, education and science," Putin added.
"We believe in its tremendous potential and wonderful future," Putin said.
"The future of Russia is in your hands," Putin noted in conclusion.
Concert performers then sang the Russian state anthem.
