MOSCOW, June 10 (RIA Novosti) - Russia may become an exporter of technologies to the third world countries, UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organization) director general Carlos Magarinos said in Moscow on Friday.

Russia may become a donor in the sphere of technical and technological development for the third world countries, Magarinos said.

According to him, this may be a key trend of Russia-UNIDO cooperation.

Russia can be a donor in many spheres and make contributions to development in different regions, he said. Russia's technical achievements may be useful to many countries.

UNIDO worked out a number of mechanisms to ensure exports of Russian technologies to third countries, including Latin America, Magarinos added.

The United Nations Industrial Development Organization was set up in 1966 and comprises 171 countries. The UNIDO task is to help developing countries with transition economy solve industrial problems.
