* Russian Vice Premier Alexander Zhukov will hold talks with Vice Premier of the Chinese State Council Zeng Peiyan (11.00).

* The Russian Natural Resources Ministry will hold a session of its Public Ecological Council (16.00).

* Armenian pilots who were charged with a state coup attempt in Equatorial Guinea in March 2004 and spent over a year in the local prison will give a press conference (17.30).

* The Russian Bolshoi Theater will host a ceremony dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the great Russian writer Mikhail Sholokhov (18.00). The foundation of the Sholokhov monument will be laid on Gogolevsky boulevard at 13.00.

ST. PETERSBURG

* An exhibition of Russian and Chinese companies and presentation of Russian investment projects will be held during the 2nd Russian-Chinese investment forum.

VLADIVOSTOK

* Russian-Japanese search and rescue exercises will be held in the Bay of Peter the Great. A Japanese destroyer, a Russian anti-submarine ship, a missile boat, an airplane and a helicopter will be involved in the exercises.

* Ships of New Zealand's Navy will pay the first-ever visit to the main base of the Russian Pacific Fleet.

BRUSSELS

* Russian Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov will attend a session of the Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council at the level of Defense Ministers.

SZCZECIN (POLAND)

* The ministerial session of the Baltic Sea States Council will continue in Szczecin. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is heading the Russian delegation.

LONDON

* Russian Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin will attend a session of G8 finance ministers. It will focus on preparations for the G8 summit in Gleneagles (Scotland) on July 6-8.

VENICE

* The Russian pavilion will open at the 51st biennale in Venice. The exposition will run until November 6, 2005.

WASHINGTON

* The 1st conference on the problems of the Russian language and culture preservation in the United States will open in Washington (June 10-12).
