* Russian Vice Premier Alexander Zhukov will hold talks with Vice Premier of the Chinese State Council Zeng Peiyan (11.00).

* The Russian Natural Resources Ministry will hold a session of its Public Ecological Council (16.00).

* Russian Culture and Mass Communication Minister Alexander Sokolov will give a weekly briefing (11.30).

* The Federation Council (the upper house of the Russian parliament) will host a roundtable on the topic "Strategic trends of CIS transport development in the conditions of integration into the world economy. The formation of a common Eurasian transport space" as part of the 9th St. Petersburg international economic forum (10.00).

* The Russian Information Agency Novosti will host a press conference with the chairman of the State Duma committee for economic policy, entrepreneurship and tourism Valery Draganov on the bills aimed at forming special economic zones in the Russian Federation (12.00).

* The Business Russia organization will hold a roundtable on the topic "How to preserve business during Russia's accession to the WTO?" as part of preparations for a branch conference on coordination of WTO accession conditions between businessmen and authorities (10.00).

* The Economist international club will organize a roundtable on the topic "The experience of formation and problems of effective functioning of special economic zones in Russia" (16.00).

* Gazprom will host a briefing on the work at foreign natural gas markets (11.00).

* The Central House of Journalists will host a meeting between representatives of public and ecological organizations and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and authors of the strategic master-plan on the utilization of nuclear submarines and rehabilitation of Russia's northwest (9.00).

* Armenian pilots who were charged with a state coup attempt in Equatorial Guinea in March 2004 and spent over a year in the local prison will give a press conference (17.30).

* The Russian Bolshoi Theater will host a ceremony dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the great Russian writer Mikhail Sholokhov (18.00). The foundation of the Sholokhov monument will be laid on Gogolevsky boulevard at 13.00.


* An exhibition of Russian and Chinese companies and presentation of Russian investment projects will be held during the 2nd Russian-Chinese investment forum.


* Russian-Japanese search and rescue exercises will be held in the Bay of Peter the Great. A Japanese destroyer, a Russian anti-submarine ship, a missile boat, an airplane and a helicopter will be involved in the exercises.

* Ships of New Zealand's Navy will pay the first-ever visit to the main base of the Russian Pacific Fleet.


* Russian Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov will attend a session of the Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council at the level of Defense Ministers.


* The ministerial session of the Baltic Sea States Council will continue in Szczecin. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is heading the Russian delegation.


* Russian Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin will attend a session of G8 finance ministers. It will focus on preparations for the G8 summit in Gleneagles (Scotland) on July 6-8.


* The Russian pavilion will open at the 51st biennale in Venice. The exposition will run until November 6, 2005.


* The 1st conference on the problems of the Russian language and culture preservation in the United States will open in Washington (June 10-12).
