MOSCOW, June 4 (RIA Novosti) - Akram Hazam, who heads Al Jazeera's Moscow office, said on the Ekho Moskvy radio that the U.S. state secretary bluffed, accusing the Qatar-based satellite news channel of encouraging terrorism.
Donald Rumsfeld accused Al Jazeera at a regional security conference in Singapore of breeding extremism.
Rumsfeld said the news channels like Al Jazeera disseminated radical ideas.
By showing brutal killings of hostages such channels encourage atrocities, he said.
"Mr. Rumsfeld was bluffing. Showing such video tapes is prohibited on our channel," said Hazam. "I would like Mr. Rumsfeld to refer at least to one such tape on our channel."
