"I did not read any statements by Kadyrov or Gantimirov, and I did not even see them. I only know that the situation in the republic is stable," Alkhanov said.
"I know that concerning the questions which have arisen, plenipotentiary representative of the Russian President in the Southern Federal District Dmitry Kozak has given appropriate instructions. There are no serious complications in the republic. I state this officially," the president said.
On Friday, Alkhanov, Kozak and Ilya Klebanov, the plenipotentiary representative of the Russian President in the in Northwestern Federal District, took part in the opening of a seminar, The Youth of Chechnya - New Perspectives, in Pushkin, a suburb of Petersburg.
Earlier this week, Gantamirov accused the leadership of the republic, Kadyrov in particular, of "extortion and an attack" on his house in the village of Gekhi.
Kadyrov said Gantamirov was still in contact with militants. "Gantamirov helped the militants leave the surrounded town at the very beginning of the anti-terrorist operation and, according to available information, is still maintaining close contacts with illegal armed units," he said.
Kadyrov also said law enforcement confiscated weapons illegally stored at Gantamirov's house. "Incidentally, authorities did not even enter the house. The host of the house, Gantamirov's brother, handed in the weapons himself, which included several sub-machineguns, a machinegun, and a grenade launcher," Kadyrov said. "All the actions of the law enforcement bodies were legal."
