The INTERSCHUTZ-2005 exhibition of fire prevention, rescue, disaster relief, safety and security will be held in Hanover from June 6 to 11, the Emergencies Ministry told RIA Novosti.
The ministry is to present robots used for search and rescue operations in dangerous zones. "They have already proved efficiency in emergency situations," a spokesman for the ministry said.
On June 9, the firefighting schools of Hamburg and Berlin will sign memorandums on cooperation with the St. Petersburg and Ivanovo (Central Russia) Institutes of the State Firefighting Service, the spokesman added.
According to him, INTERSCHUTZ-2005 is the world's leading and largest exhibition in this sphere. The previous exhibition in 2000 featured 1,096 showpieces from 38 countries and was attended by 127,000 people.
