The awards for outstanding achievements in the service to the highest ideals of mankind will be handed for the second time.
According to Sophia Loren, she will spend three days in Moscow.
"This is not my first visit to Russia. You have many interesting places but I will be busy with preparations for the ceremony," the actress said.
The original statuette made in the shape of a transparent ball with a metallic gold-covered heart in the middle was created by prominent sculptor Frank Meisler. It took him three months to create the ball only. Moreover, laureates will receive orders made of precious metals and weighing 170 grams.
The Heart of Gold awards are presented in eight categories.
A reception will be held after the awarding ceremony. Russian and foreign culture and art figures, politicians and businessmen are invited to the party. Super model Cindy Crawford is expected to be among the guests. A charity lottery will be held during the reception.
