"My client complained to the top prosecutor as his lawyer had not attended second blood sample taking. More than that, blood sampling was not warranted," lawyer Ruslan Koblev said to RIA Novosti.
Glass containers with the suspect's blood had broken in transportation, so another test was necessary, was the explanation Naidenov received. "Investigators did not care to comply with the Criminal Code to repeat the test, so we cannot rule out a fake expertise," remarked the lawyer.
The detainee had his blood, saliva and hair first sampled on April 26.
"He could have refused to undergo the tests but he was anxious to have them. He said the tests would surely prove him innocent," an informant close to the detectives on the case told newsmen on a previous occasion.
As he assumes, the blood and hair samples were necessary for genetic expertise, and the saliva to see whether cigarette stubs found on the crime site were Naidenov's.
