EARTHQUAKE NOT HUMANS GUILTY OF CHERNOBYL CATASTROPHE, EXPERTS SAY

MOSCOW, April 26 (RIA Novosti) - An earthquake not operators of the nuclear power plant may be the reason for the Chernobyl catastrophe, says a group of Russian and Ukrainian specialists, the Parliamentary Gazette writes.

According to Igor Yanitski, in charge of the Center for Instrumental Monitoring of the Environment and Geophysical Forecasts, there are indications that geophysical and atmospheric processes on the Earth surface undergo sharp changes preceding earthquakes and calamities. All the physical fields and mediums - electromagnetic, dynamic, temperature, acoustic and others - are disturbed.

To Yanitski, at a depth of seven kilometers rocks get saturated with hydrogen and helium and become a plasmoid. If geodynamics steps up and is converted into high-frequency, the Earth may blow up such an in-depth plasmoid in form of high-temperature plasma, which deforms the Earth surface.

Scientists say that in 1986, beginning on April 20, the atmospheric pressure around Chernobyl sharply began to change. The critical point happened on April 25, just before the power plant catastrophe.

According to Yanitski, an enhanced seismotectonic activity in the Chernobyl zone is instrumentally monitored to this day.
