CHISINAU, April 21 (RIA Novosti) - Very soon Moldova and Azerbaijan will submit for consideration by the United Nations General Assembly the agreement on armed territorial conflicts. Presidents Vladimir Voronin of Moldova and Ilham Aliev of Azerbaijan said this on Thursday after the head-on-head meeting and the inking of five intergovernmental agreements.

The Azeri president said that "Moldova and Azerbaijan are victims of territorial conflicts. Aggressive separatists prevent the development of the countries, their desire for European integration and cooperation with the North Atlantic structures".

Aliev said: "The leadership of Azerbaijan shares the position of Moldova and its actions to settle the Transdniestrian conflict".

Aliev noted that his country also shares "the desire of Moldova to integrate in the European community". "We pursue the same goals", he said. "We believe that covering this road together will be much easier".

The Moldovan president said that the GUUAM (Georgia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Moldova) summit, due to open in Chisinau on Friday, will let its members elevate this international organization to a higher level and by a joint effort promote the common strategic plans.
